It’s hard to be grumpy when it’s a bright and sunny fall friday and you have a pumpkin pie green smoothie for breakfast. That’s right. I said it. PUMPKIN PIE GREEN SMOOTHIE!
- 1 Banana
- 2 handfuls of kale
- 1-2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 1/4 cup of oats ( add more if you want your smoothie thicker)
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter
- 1/4- 1/3 cup of pumpkin puree
- 3 shakes of pumpkin pie spice
- 1 shake of cinnamon
- 1 shake of nutmeg
- 1 shake of ground cloves
- soy milk
Break up the banana into several pieces. Toss in the rest of your ingredients and cover about half way with soy milk. Blend away until all there’s no unsightly kale pieces floating around. I always eyeball my green smoothie ingredients so the amounts are not exact. You can always taste and add more spices if it isn’t pumpkin pie-ish enough for you.
Now just drink and enjoy all the yummy nutritious things you are consuming disguised as green pumpkin pie in a cup! Preferrably while playing with a Mr. Desi Pumpkin Pup.
